Milestones: Year 2

  1. During the week of June 16th, 2008, Dr. Jessie Cameron, the lead researcher on PDP1, started contacting people who had sent blood from their Clumbers to be tested for PDP1 to ask their permission to send the left over DNA to the Clumber DNA Bank. We are hopeful that the vast majority of this DNA's owners will grant permission for this to happen as these samples, in conjunction with participation in the Canine Phenome Project, are priceless.

  2. We have officially heard from the IRS and the Clumber Spaniel Foundation has been declared a non-profit charitable 501(c)(3), Public Foundation. We are delighted with this accomplishment and want to thank key board members, Jennifer Amundsen and Roe Froman, for their hard work on this project.

All the contributions that you have made to the Clumber Spaniel Health Foundation since it's date of incorporation (April 16, 2007) are retroactively tax-exempt with the IRS, as are all future contributions.
